Artsiyapo

2:03:00 PM

Artsiyapo is performative art by the NNCHS Arts and Design Track. In the first part of this performative art, Viewers will be given the opportunity to express their feelings and frustrations on a canvas wall using markers.

Historian Ambeth Ocampo notes that in pre-war Vigan, people threw stones at a saint's image outside an old church facade as a gesture for good health.

Similarly, at the Isdaan restaurant in Gerona, Tarlac, visitors can relieve stress by shouting expletives in any language while hurling plates, cups, saucers, and even TV sets at a "Tacsiyapo wall" painted with words like Tsismosa (Gossiper), Inggitera (Envious), Bungangera (Nagging), etc.

The term Artsiyapo is a combination of Art and Tacsiyapo.

In its second part, the NNCHS Arts and Design senior high school students threw balloons made of ice water cellophanes filled with dyed water.
