Insights: On Noes, Opportunities and Self-changes.

The passing weeks brought me thoughts that I cannot filter, there were moments that made me wander off from the moment. I felt uninspired, even my newly bought paint brushes brought me no hue.

The 6 o'clock creative ritual made no more sense as I try to hand letter. I found joy in scribbling notes again. Filling blank pages with insights that I think made sense. Just like last night I was able to jot down three insights. It revolves around taking no as an answer, a quick opportunity and self-change.

First Insight: When there is an obvious no, take it fast.

Last Friday, when I got out of the Gaisano Grand Nabunturan, I was not able to get into the trikes that have been taking turns in taking passengers. Luckily there was a trike that is not in the line that did not bother to ask where I am headed to but allowed me to ride. When I reached home, I found out that my fare was not enough, but the odds are in my favor, manong driver was kind, he let me pay less two pesos from the exact fare.

Possible scenario that could happen, if I insisted to ride on the first trike:
  1. I might cause inconvenience to other passengers, I might take their precious time asking for change in our neighborhood sari-sari store.
  2.  I might force to get a big amount of money bill that might get manong driver upset.
There was an instance back then when I was working in the city of Palms, the moment I handed manong driver a hundred peso bill, he blurted back "Sa bus unta ka magbayad ani"(You should pay this on busses) ,with sarcasm.

The series of no you've receive at the moment is directing you to the right place that you should be. If I insisted on going in the first trike, those two possible scenarios might happen. At least, the no I've receive lead me to experience kindness.

Tip: Throw kindness like confetti.

Second Insight : If there are moments that needs you to help, do it. Grab the opportunity.

I was asked by colleague on how to use a hyperlink in a Power Point Presentation. I did teach her how, which reminded me of the joys of teaching.

Sharing what you know about stuffs to others is like putting pieces of yourself in the different places. It's like putting seeds to fertile soils. Teaching liberates people from the things that they don't know.

Tip: Teach people and you'll learn about yourself.

Third insight: Small changes about your appearance bring joy to others.

I have my haircut last week, and some of my good friends were not able to see it. Yesterday, afternoon they saw me with the new 'do and they were cool about it. They were smiling and asking why the sudden change, I was not able to answer the question. I just munched the kwek2x I was eating. Changes affect people, even how slight it is. Small, big or large, how much you quantify it as long as it is change, it affects everyone.

Tip: Affect in a positive way as possible, just like posting a motivational quote.

Insights, big or small teach us unimaginable. It equip us with wisdom needed at times.
