Life in Stills: Tower of Light, New Bataan Compostela
12:32:00 PM
Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us. So, last Saturday I went to New Bataan together with Greg and Jovy Ruth. We stayed at Karen's house.
It was Greg's first time to be in New Bataan, so to celebrate it we went to Tower of Light. On a stone marker it said that, Tower of Hope is a monument created by Kublai Milan, the tower takes a shape of a dove and a flame recalling the biblical story of Noah after the Great Flood: the dove which brought back the olive twig representing a new life on earth and the flame representing the burnt offering of Noah which pleased the Lord who promised to destroy all living beings.
The monument stands in the memory of those who died and a reminder to protect the environment. It is also a monument representing the generosity of people, all reaching up to the heavens for deliverance and gratitude.
