Nabunturan Independent Film Exhibition is now on its third year of celebrating films in open space. This year, the festival is opening its doors to foreign independent films from India, Europe and USA. This year's theme is Fulfilling Hopes, Fueling Dreams.
The said event will be happening on the 16th until the 19th of September of this year.
Jess Mendoza, Gawad Urian nominee for Best Supporting Actor for the film, Alienasyon is said to grace the event together with Biboy Ramirez. One of the Fathers of the Filipino Independent Film Movement Ed Cabagnot will be around, Tito Valiente have already confirmed that he will be attending, also a German film critic, Axel Estein will be a around.
Arnel Mardoquio will be back as the festival curator. Road shows of the past film entries will be done in Tagum, some selected barangays and schools in Nabunturan. Film screenings will be done beside the food court area of Gaisano Grand Nabunturan starting the 3rd of September until the sixth.
