Dancing colored lights, LED moving like snowflakes falling, a sea of crowd, a tall great tree showcasing a magnificent sight, as if it was the Philippines’ version of Paris’ Eiffel Tower. Indeed, it was a fete to remember, the most awaited part of a Tagumeño Christmas.

In awe, I couldn't believe what I see, memories flashing as if I was reminiscing. Memories flash like photographs in motion, dawning down my spine, I shivered and for the first time, I felt alone. It was one of those college days that each one of my classmates would gather in one corner of the classroom, and talk about the event of the night in that certain day. Giggles and excitement fills the room's air while we are waiting for the next teacher. We talk about what will our adventures be, and the tree of lights we love to see.

It's Christmas time in Tagum, the holiday tree filled with colorful dancing lights and LED's has signalled everyone to imbibe gratefulness for we are to remember once more the birth of our saviour. Amidst the crowd where I stand still, this year's lighting reminded me a lot has change in the place I always visit together with my college friends.Amazing that the tree symbolizes Tagumeño's faith on the Christmas fete. And here I am in solitude, drifting along the memories I still kept for a long time. Remembering, good old times. Wishing, hoping that my friends and I will meet in the sameplace we used to hang out, feeling the Christmas breeze sinking deep in our hearts.
