Aesthetically beautiful and garbed in colors that best represent Compostela Valley; seven gorgeous ladies sway and used their wit to win Comvalenyos heart in the First Bulawn Queen Festival Competition. Maragusan, New Bataan, Pantukan, Laak, Compostela, Mabini and Nabunturan, are some of the eleven municipalities that sent entries to the newly added activity of the annual Bulawan Festival of Compostela Valley. In this edition Life in Still I gave you a way back Wednesday of the Bulawan Festival Queen 2016.

Once,I wrote a gratitude Friday list about being part of a film production during the third week of August. It took place in Barangay Andap, some scenes were shot in Compostela. However, I was not able to follow up with the visuals of the shoot because we were told not to post before it was screening week, but I think the last edition of Life in Still has snippets of the film production.
Morose, instead of very sad, I guess it is what I felt at the moment. But looking back, it was a good thing that I was able to peel things off. I have a heavy heart that I tried pouring it out however it was unsuccessful. Looking at the photographs I put off for instagram, I was amazed how these pictures represented so much of my thoughts and emotions but decided to keep it away from other’s eyes because I thought it was best to just set it aside. But these memories bring smiles and heart aches, and for it to be expressed at this moment, I think it will be great, to shell everything out.

Yesterday was a fantastic day for I was able to lend a hand. It was great deal for me because I was able to use creativity for a great cause. I was asked to photograph the abaca weaves from Cooperative Handicraft Industry of Nabunturan (C.H.A.I.N). The photographs were sent via email to their client.
Here are some of the photographs I took yesterday. It
feels like having a photo-shoot and these weaves are my model. So to give a
little background, Cooperative Handicraft Industry of Nabunturan, produces abaca hemp-based products like bags, folders, picture frames, coin purses, abaca
cloth, roll mats and other novelty items.
It was a wonderful experience. The wind, the place, the trees, and the grass, become one with the canvas. Today is the great day, Geselle's and Macky is getting married. A week before today, we headed to Tagum's Botanical Garden. Armed with a point and shoot camera, I started documenting what I think the first steps to a new life. This was an exciting experience. A creative one. I wish we could get more opportunities like this in the future.
These are some of the photographs I could share to you at this moment.

Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us. So, last Saturday I went to New Bataan together with Greg and Jovy Ruth. We stayed at Karen's house.
It was Greg's first time to be in New Bataan, so to celebrate it we went to Tower of Light. On a stone marker it said that, Tower of Hope is a monument created by Kublai Milan, the tower takes a shape of a dove and a flame recalling the biblical story of Noah after the Great Flood: the dove which brought back the olive twig representing a new life on earth and the flame representing the burnt offering of Noah which pleased the Lord who promised to destroy all living beings.
The monument stands in the memory of those who died and a reminder to protect the environment. It is also a monument representing the generosity of people, all reaching up to the heavens for deliverance and gratitude.
